About Global Soccer ConnectGlobal Soccer Connect is a youth-led initiative that brings young people together through soccer, culture, service, leadership, and learning.We believe soccer is more than a game. It is a way to connect communities, share stories, build confidence, and help young people grow as leaders on and off the field.What began with local youth soccer activities in Chapel Hill is growing into a platform for students, players, families, and community supporters who believe in the power of soccer to connect people across cultures.Play. Girls Soccer

Girls in the GameGlobal Soccer Connect is committed to including and highlighting girls’ soccer, leadership, and participation in every part of the project.Girls soccer is not an add-on. It is an essential part of the game, the community, and the future of youth leadership in soccer.Through Global Soccer Connect, we aim to support girls as players, leaders, mentors, writers, analysts, volunteers, and community builders.Future activities may include girls soccer spotlights, leadership roles, team participation, panel discussions, and recognition through One World Soccer Day.She plays. Soccer Analytics

Soccer Analytics & JournalSoccer is not only played on the field. It can also be studied, discussed, written about, and understood through observation, data, and reflection.The Soccer Analytics component of Global Soccer Connect gives students a way to connect soccer with writing, statistics, communication, teamwork, and critical thinking.Students may contribute through:Match reflections

A future goal is to publish a One World Soccer Day Special Issue highlighting teams, stories, fair play, leadership, girls soccer, cultural exchange, and community impact.

One World Soccer Day

One World Soccer Day 2027A proposed free youth soccer, culture, service, and leadership event in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.One World Soccer Day is being developed as a summer community event that brings youth teams, schools, clubs, families, and community partners together through small-sided soccer games, leadership sessions, cultural exchange, service activities, and an awards ceremony.The 2027 pilot is planned as a one-day event after the school year ends, with a long-term vision of becoming an annual Chapel Hill summer youth soccer tradition.Planned Focus Areas:
